Traditionally when celebrating your 5th wedding anniversary, a gift of WOOD is in order, The modern way says to give silverware. BUT, what I like the most is the Travel anniversary gift; airline tickets or a cruise. Too bad that is out of our budget today. And, I'm not really excited about wood or forks!
So I guess you get the idea. We are celebrating being married 5 years, today, September 3rd, 2010. I kinda wish we had been married on the 2nd, because our 5th anniversary would have been 90210. Oh well. Didn't plan ahead!
Today Geoff is doing what he does best, working hard for our family. Bummer, that he has to work 12 hours ON our special day. But, it's ok. We have a date planned for tomorrow night, kid free.
I love Geoff. Don't get me wrong, we have had our ups and plenty of downs. But LOVE is what gets us through. I am sure that one day we will look back and be grateful for these times that have made our relationship stronger, that have made us understand one another better, and that have taught us how to be selfless (in my opinion, the hardest thing about this life).
Oh happy day. I love you Geoff!

Happy Anniversary! If I knew you when you were you married, I would have written on the card -
"Welcome to my world".
Being married is the best! Everyone should do it eventually!
