Parents in town

Last week we were lucky enough to have two special visitors at our house....Grandpa and Grandma Fowler
My dad drove up on Wednesday and left the next evening with Geoff to the Green River. He spoiled Geoff with a fly fishing trip to the Green River for two days, where they had a private guide float with them each day. The first day the weather wasn't that great, but the fishing was good. The second day the weather was nice and sunny, but the fishing wasn't so great. Of course, you can't have it all I guess! I know they both had a really good time, and Geoff can't wait to get back on the river.
My mom flew in on Friday morning, and I picked her up from the airport. We came back to the house, and she stayed in the house until Monday morning. Sounds boring, but she loved it. Any time she can have with her grand babies, is not boring at all. She is a great mom, and a great grandma. She definitely knows how to spoil us. I got a shopping trip to costco, the babies got tons of clothes. The favorite for Paityn was her pair of Ruby Slippers, fashioned after Dorothy's in the Wizard of Oz. My parents got them while they were at a museum back in D.C. Paityn had to try them on herself, and of course Beck as well!
On Sunday my dad and I took Paityn over to the lake and my mom watched Beck. Geoff was down in Ephraim for Tommy's missionary farewell. It was so hot out that day, so we didn't last long, but we still had fun and got some cute pictures. That night we had a really yummy bbq, Ribeye steaks and corn on the cob.
We ended the weekend by going out to breakfast on monday morning, and Granny Lyn was able to join us. What fun!
We love these special times when my parents are able to visit, and we are glad it has been so often this year. Let's keep that tradition going.....

Aren't grandparents great, mine were great with my kids, and try to spoil them with doing special things for and with them, and not go against mom and dad rules. It sounds like they spoiled you and little too. Good for them! Everyone needs spoiling once in a while
