At one time I was actually a good blogger. Now, I just think of what a good blogger I once was. I have so many things to post from the last couple of months, and no time to get around to it. Because this is more like a journal of our family I know I can just insert it later on, and it will be there for the years to come, however, it is much more fun for the readers when I actually keep on top of our lives. I will try from this day forward to do just that, but I don't promise anything. It is just too hard to get around to it when I have these little ones keeping me running all day!
So, I thought I would share the highlights of this last week:
Last WEDNESDAY, we went to visit Grandpa Heslop. He is doing much better, and had just come home from the hospital the previous day. It is always a good time when we get to visit with him. Geoff's Uncle Don and Aunt Lydia came while we were there, so it was also great to enjoy their company as well.
FRIDAY, we went on a family outing to Wal-Mart, got a little sipparoo at Starbucks (Spiced Caramel Apple Cider on Ice, soooo good!), and rented a movie, Nick and Nora's Infinite Playlist.
On SATURDAY, we had a really busy day, we woke up at 6 am, Aunt Ree watched the kids, and we were off to do a photo shoot at a 5k. The 5k was for Charity, and it was sponsored by Jerry's work. It was alot of fun to do that type of photography. We will share some pictures soon.
Later in the day, we got the family ready, and headed down south to Ephraim. Once there, we dropped the kids off with Aunt Millie, and went to the Manti Temple with Geoff's brother Tommy, and other family and friends. He was taking out his endowments this day, and it was so enjoyable to be there with him on his special day. This TEMPLE is incredible. My parents were married there, and my great great grandpa helped in the construction of it, so I was very excited to be able to be inside. I cannot even describe the beauty of it, or the peace that I felt while being there. We were able to tour the spiral staircases, which, by the way, are two of only 4 in the world. It was a sight to see! (these spirals go straight up about 76 feet). After the temple we went back to the house for dinner. We were needing to get on the road, since we had a long drive ahead of us, so we left about 9 pm. It was a long day. Luckily, our kids have great Aunts that enjoy watching them!
SUNDAY, was Paityn's first day in Nursery. We took her to the classroom, she walked right in, and didn't look back. We peeked in a few times through the 2 hours she was in there, and she was happy as a clam! When we went to pick her up, I think we were more excited than she was. I think she had fun, and she even "colored" a picture, which was related to their lesson on sharing. I hope she is this good every sunday, hooray!
Tonight we are going to do our traditional family, third sunday dinner. It was postponed from last night until tonight because of scheduling conflicts. We are excited, and it's about that time, so I will get to more blogging later on!

It can be hard to find time to blog Joy.
I had this conversation with Lyn the other day.
So much going on, to blog about, but no time because so much going on.
You are doing fine.
Its nice to catch up.
I'm amazed you can find anytime to blog with two little ones. I was babysitting a 9 month old girl the other night and I was wondering how you do it with two, I couldn't leave her a little for a second she was into everything. I turned my head once and she was about to chew on shoes.
Sounds like a busy week for you. I didn't know want an endowment was, so just looked it up online - sounds very special. That is really awesome you got to go to a temple that your ancestor helped built.
You mentioned about 4 spiral staircases in the world. Are those in the temples? The reason I'm asking is I remember when I was a child the Washington, DC Temple had just been built and was open to the public before it was dedicated. I went and the only thing I remember is a spiral staircase - would that be the same thing?
