I am sitting at our new computer desk at the moment. I love it. It is down in the newly finished basement, that we still have yet to photograph. Hold on, let me add that to the millions of things we need to get done. Ok.....I am back!
I am doing laundry and blogging, all at once. This is wonderful. It is like a little escape down here, in what my dad refers to as, "the dungeon". I can't hear anything other than the dryer going. The kids are upstairs asleep, and Geoff is probably watching some televison. We just got done playing scrabble, and unfortunately for me, he always wins.
Geoff and Jerry finished, for the most part, the basement, back in January. We still have a lot of little things to do before it is really finished though. One item on our list has been to get the office together, and buying a desk was a top priority. I have been looking on KSL for the past couple of months for a good deal on a computer desk, and we finally found one that looks good, and was reasonably priced. I love KSL classifieds, you really can find almost anything for a good price. I will definitely be taking a picture of the desk (in the near future). It is black with an antique finish, just like our kitchen table. So now that we can check buying a desk off of our to-do list, we are going to get the basement bathroom in working order. We purchased a sink, mirror, and accessories yesterday, and we are waiting on a bid for the countertop. If all goes well, I hope to have the bathroom ready in about 2 weeks. I told Geoff we should just pay for an install on the countertop and he said that he would do it for much less, but I still have to pay him. What? Is he serious. He seems to think so (does that mean cash in hand or what? ha ha)!!
So, the basement will one day be complete, but for now, I am happy with its progress. Just happy to have a desk, and a large office to put it in.

I love the part where daddy comes to the rescue. Your children are growing fast, and it sounds like they are keeping you busy and you are loving it!! I love to hear about kids growing in a loving and christian home. My kids and grandkids are not little anymore, and thank you for letting me watch small ones growing up and learning about life and hearing about their little adventures
