What are they up to you ask?
Paityn-
*went to NURSERY for the first time on Sunday May 17th. She seemed to really enjoy it. Today was a different story. She went in just fine, but then I peeked in the second hour to check on her and she saw me, got startled, and cried. They said she seemed to be tired. This was true, it was nap time. I took her for a few minutes and then went back in with her, and once snack time came, I left and she was happy.
*fell down the stairs for the first time on Saturday May 23rd. She was trying to carry too many things at once and lost her balance. Luckily daddy was close by to come to her rescue.
*learned how to open doors by using the door knob for the first time on the morning of Friday May 22nd. I heard a little wiggle, and then next thing I know she came running into our room with a huge grin on her face. I went to the store and purchased door knob covers immediately.
* Today, I asked her to get Beck's binky and she couldn't find it. She said, "where'd it go?" then she found it and said, "here it is!"
*she loves when I put Beck in the bath with her so she can "help" wash him. She was a little curious about his private parts, as she pinched it. OH, I have to laugh at that!
*we are trying to grow out her bangs, I am tired of the mushroom head look. It will take some patience, I am sure.
*can, and does climb on anything including the table, the toilet, the high chair, and our bed.
*loves to dress herself, and especially loves to put her shoes on. She won't go barefoot these days if her shoes are in sight...or, if anyone's shoes are in sight. She loves wearing my heels as well!
*loves to take care of her baby doll, like I take care of Beck. She always wants her dolly wrapped in a blanket, and she "nurses" her dolly by lifting up her shirt and, well...pretending to do what mommy does.
Beck:
He has been sleeping on his own, (well out of our bed, in his bassinett next to our bed) since the night of Wednesday May 13th. I thought it would be a process of endless crying for a few nights, but I was wrong, he has been really good about it (knock on wood)
*Last night he slept from 8:30-3:30 without a peep. How wonderful. Well, besides my dairy farm drenching the bed! Sorry, I had to throw that in.
*He is smiling from ear to ear, and seems to have a lot more happy times these days. Hopefully he is growing out of the horrible colic stage he was in for so long, or maybe the medicine is actually doing its job. Either way, we love when he is happy.
*He loves bath time. I hold him in the bath and Paityn helps me wash him. He does not even seem to mind when the water gets in his eyes.
*He is growing, and is now in 3-6 month clothing. I now have to pack away his newborn and 0-3 month clothes. Oh they grow so fast, dang it!
*He also is cooing more and more every day, and has began to use his hands more, to start grabbing, or just holding onto whatever is close to his fingers.
I am sure I am forgetting many things that I will have to add later, but I need to get to bed. I am sure I will be waking up soon to feed my adorable little guy.
Do I need to mention that they are both getting cuter and cuter EVERY day? I shouldn't have to...but I will add some pictures tomorrow, just to prove it!

Oooooo She's a little tinker now no stoppin her! and love it when they start to talk and do things for the first time.. Ha Poor Beck! having his "bits" pinched! something to remind him at his 21st!
It is lovely that she goes to Nursery it gets them used to being with othr children so when school comes (way of ) it is an easier time.
How is Milo> cutie pie
Ooooo yep time for door/draw stoppers.
baefeet! I love shoes I just don't like wearing them! but I can remember and their is an embarrasing photo of me aged 4 standing in my cousins stilettos!
have a good week.. Phebes
What cute stories about Paityn and Beck. Poor little Paityn and her first fall down the steps. Glad she is ok.
The stories about how she helps Beck, and then imitates you when taking care of her dolls are adorable. My Mom said my sister did similar things after I was born. My sister is 2 years older then me, and she would feed her dolls when my Mom fed me.

What a handsome young man and with a beautiful smile.!!
Teach Paityn to roll when she falls. My parents did that for us, so whenever we accidently fell down the stairs we would go in to a ball and safely go down. You teach them on small steps.. if you don't have it the last three of your staircase will do. Just have them stand up, put there head down like they are going to do a summersalt and roll. It becomes a reflex. It takes a while... but it works. It was something my parents learned in nursing long ago.
