Brother love on Christmas Eve. Ben, Matt and Geoffrey
The next day, Tuesday: Geoff had to work, so Paityn, my mom and I weathered the storm for some shopping, and the others went to Temple Square in Salt Lake. Tuesday night we stayed in, made dinner and relaxed.
Wednesday was Christmas Eve. Geoff had the day off. Geoff and I went to do some last minute shopping. Daddy needed to pick out a gift for his little girl, just from him. I think this tradition is SO FUN, and cute! Paityn stayed home with Grandma Mickie, and Grandpa and Paul and Asil drove to Park City for the day. That night we had reservations for dinner at Market Street Grill, and Matt and Anmaree joined us for dinner, and after dinner fun.
Ben, Annice, Ali and Nicholas came over to our house for games and presents. The guys made a gingerbread house, and everyone else just hung out. The gingerbread house is another fun tradition that Geoff enjoys doing. Luckily the store still had them, because we had only remembered to buy it earlier in the day! So we stayed up late, ate junk food, and played games. The snow began getting really bad, so my parents went to the hotel early, and Matt and Anmaree stayed nearby at Lyn and Jerry's home.
Thursday, CHRISTMAS DAY: Woke up about 7:30 am, opened our stockings, waited for my parents to drive over, as well as for Paul and Asil to wake up. I made breakfast, cinnamon rolls and hot chocolate for everyone. After breakfast we opened presents for what seemed like several hours. Paityn was really SPOILED by grandma and grandpa Fowler, and a little by mommy and daddy, as well as Paul and Asil, and Nana Bobbie. Geoff and I were also spoiled by my family.
Matt and Anmaree came over around 3, we opened more presents, and then I began preparing for dinner. We invited Lyn and Jerry over as well, and they came over just in time for dinner. I cooked everything myself, and I am proud. It was exhausting, but worth all of the compliments given to me. We enjoyed Ham, Turkey, Fresh Green Beans, Mashed Potatoes, Raspberry pretzel salad, and rolls. For dessert, pumpkin cheesecake and razzleberry pie! We played games after eating, and then watched a Christmas movie, before heading to bed. I was really ready for bed by the end of this day. Maybe the pregnant thing came into play in that!
Friday: just relaxed at home with Paityn and my mom. My dad, brother, Geoff and Asil went to the U of U bookstore and lunch. That night we went over to Lyn and Jerry's for dinner and games
Saturday: My family left, and we spent the day with Geoff's family. We had so much fun, playing in our p.j's, taking a family photo, going to breakfast, opening presents, going to dinner, playing bingo, and just hanging out as a family. It is so fun when we can all get together since it is not often.
WOW, that was a busy holiday....I can't wait until next year when we can do it all over again, and have a new little one to join in on the fun.
Pictures are out of order, but good enough....
Paityn got so excited with every present she opened. Can you see the "ooooh" on her lips? She was so cute, and we luckily got video of her being so adorable and excited!!!
Paityn just wanted to open presents....no pictures please!
