About Paityn

I want to remember things about Paityn at this age, and write them down before I forget. So, for future memories, here we go.

Paityn loves to babble, and is constantly talking, mostly when she is in her comfort zone though.
These are things we can understand:
I ask her a question, like, " want to go take a nap?" and she says, NO and shakes her head, but the no is more like a "nah", it is pretty cute, not mean at all!
"Uh-oh" is a favorite- and she says it when she knows she has done something wrong. Example: when I find her in her crib with throw up all over. She knows she is in trouble, because she is the one causing it to happen.
"touch"- she likes to say this when I say "don't touch"
"mom"- it's always because she needs me, or needs something, and its a quick, short said word.
"moa"- means more, and it is usually said when she wants more food
"ball"
"juice"
"shoes" -juice and shoes come out pretty much the same, like "soose"
I am trying to teach her things right now, such as what does a cow say?, and what does a doggie say?. Most of the time she ignores me, but she can say mooo, which comes out like oooo, ooo, and she says ruff ruff, usually with a silent r!

If I tell her she is scary, "Paityn, you are so scary", this is her reply: "Raugghhhhhh" (everytime)

She loves to get into everything, of course. I know it is just her age. She can now reach some high drawers in the kitchen and finds it a challenge to be able to pull them open, and shut them. I know, we could put locks on the doors and drawers, which we should, we just haven't gotten around to it.
If I need her for anything, getting her dressed, brushing her teeth, well, then she is off running in the opposite direction, like it is a game to her. She is pretty fast at this!
She knows, and can point to: EYES, EARS, NOSE, MOUTH, BUTTON, and TOES

For the past week she has been getting in 4 more molars! She hasn't been enjoying this too much, and neither have her parents. The top two are coming in faster than the bottom two, and we hope they all hurry up! This will make it 16 teeth in total, and she has her first dentist appointment scheduled for the end of the month. We will see how she enjoys that visit.

She gets very frustrated in general, and if she can't get to something, or can't open up something, or just can't do something,  like open her box of legos, or put her legos together then she grunts and screams until I come to her rescue.

She is beginning to give kisses, but is still picky with this matter. If I give daddy a kiss, and say "see, daddy gives mommy a kiss" then she usually will give me one, and then one to daddy. We love it!

She loves her baby dolls, and cuddles them and does her best trying to take care of them. I hope she is a little nicer to her baby brother though!
She understands everything, and can follow directions fairly well, but I really wish, as does she wish I am sure, that she could communicate back to me. Oh, that will be the day....and it will be good and bad, I can only imagine!
She loves to read her books, and will bring us a book if she is in the mood to read.
She loves looking at pictures of herself on the computer slideshow. She also enjoys seeing other people she knows in pictures as well.
She saw a ball about a week ago on a picture, and now she points to the computer ALL OF THE TIME, and says "ball", like where is it?
She wants to do EVERYTHING on her own, and the other day she took a cup, and put it up to the fridge, where the water dispenser is, and tried to get water out. Unfortunately for her, she is just too short still! Then she turned to me and pretty much told me "get me some water, I am thirsty!"
I think that is about it right now, I probably will add more as I remember. It just doesn't come to me all at once these days.

That is such a great description of Paityn. Very descriptive and it'll be fun to go back and read this when she's older. I can just picture her say uh-oh - so many little kids say that.

I hope you are getting alot of movies of her. Our home movies don't have sound but they are fun to watch. We do have some tape recordings of my brother when he was little and it's great to hear.

What lovely memories of your little girl, you will treasure these in the years to come. I didn't keep mine up the way I should but I do enjoy those that I did. Some things you do not think you will forget but you do.
