Pregnancy Update

I thought I would journal a little so that I remember this pregnancy, since all the little things are SO easy to forget. I am about 26 weeks along, I go in for another check-up this Friday. I am happy to say that I have gained much less so far than with Paityn's pregnancy. I have NO swelling. I can wear my wedding rings, and my high heels, hurray! Really, this makes me extremely happy. I can even wear my jeans that I bought last year...stretchy of course, but they are on me!
I need to brag...to myself, so that I will remember that being pregnant isn't so bad. Last Thursday, which if you remember would have been Thanskgiving day, the fattest day of the year for most...we were at the Gas Station after all the food had been placed in my belly, and I got one of the greatest compliments from the ladies behind the counter. She said, "you know, if I hadn't seen you walk through that door and seen your belly, I would have never known you were pregnant, you look so tiny." My face probably lit up with happiness as I thanked her and told her I deserve it, since with my first pregnancy I was the complete opposite! All of this after I ate too much food even, how amazing is that! I love having a big belly, and being mostly normal every where else.
The only swelling, which may be me just thinking it, is that my nose has grown once again. Maybe not, but I feel as if it is bigger! No...I won't post a picture of my nose, before and after!
On the negative side, sleeping is a nightmare most nights. I have to continually take Unisom or I can not sleep. I toss and turn, and feel my little baby boy kick throughout the night. Geoff gets irritated, because I wake him up sometimes!
What else? well back to the name, I think Elias it will be...as for now. We thought about it, and after Lyn mentioned that if we did that name it could be after Geoff's maternal grandmother, (she is his favorite afterall). Her first name is Eleanor, she goes by Fae, but still, the EL makes it work, right? I like the idea, and it made Geoff like the name a lot more. So, maybe Elias Oliver, I think it is adorable, and nice for a grown man as well!
I will post a picture of the belly, I just need to take one first!

I just wanted to thank you for sharing your life and not going private with your blog. As someone who wasn't able to have children, I thoroughly enjoy reading your posts as Paityn goes through her different stages and the progress of this pregnancy. You really have an enjoyable blog; and I'm sure many of your readers would agree (otherwise, we wouldn't keep coming back!) Keep up the good work and thanks again for sharing.

Brag away! You look amazing and you deserve to be proud of yourself! I started out heavier than I wanted, but I'm proud of myself for not getting huge everywhere else too!

I love the name Elias! It's fun to incorporate family names and I think Elias Osmond sounds like a great name for a little boy and for a man, so you passed my test!

Yay for wearing heels when you're pregnant! My dad always makes fun of me for wearing mine, but if they fit and I can walk in them I am going to wear them!!!

I am so glad you are feeling good about yourself and your pregnancy. It sounds like it going good, I am glad.
I do enjoy hearing about Paityn, and you and Geoff. My grandkids are in their teens or about to be, and it is a treat to watch little ones again. i do so miss my kids when they were little and learning. Their absolute joy and curiosity is a blessing to see.
I do like Elias Oliver Osmond has a nice sound to it.

Joy, I found a website I think you might like..if nothing else just to look at.

I don't know if you'll like any of this stuff or not, but I had seen it mentioned on another blog from someone who just had a baby.

My oldest daughter's best friend is Elias, and he is a sweet, loving little guy... so you have my vote! I love the name Oliver, too.. always have.

And yes, I think you look fantastic, especially for being so far along! Your girl/boy variances with your pregnancies definitely mirror mine. You could barely tell I was pregnant with my son, even at the bitter end, but I looked like a beached whale with both of my girls!

Glad you're feeling well, too. That makes a huge difference.
