What a Turkey!

So I wanted to write down this hilarious story before it left my mind.

As we were traveling home from our trip to California on Monday July 7th, we made a stop in Beaver Utah for some Gas and food. My family has this tradition of stopping at Mel's, which used to be Annie's...and I thought we would carry on in the tradition!
Anyway...before getting something to eat inside, we let Milo run around in this big grassy area behind the little malt shop. I was in the car with Paityn at this time, and all of a sudden I see Geoff grab Milo and start running. Apparently, as Milo was trying to go potty...some turkeys spotted him and came running after. This of course scared Milo and Geoff. I thought it was so funny and I saw my tough husband running from two small turkeys. I didn't think they could be a threat!

I decided to see what this was all about, SO...I took Milo back to the grass area once the turkeys had wandered off, and sure enough right when we entered what must have been their territory, they came running back, and yes, I ran too!
What makes us so scared of such a small farm animal? It must have been their ferocious bird call as we came too close!

Possibly this story is not as funny to you all, but it makes me laugh, as I know it does Geoff, and I want to keep it as a memory to remember the time we ran from wild turkeys!

Hey, I would have run also, they have beaks, and they could hurt pecking you. It is really funny, isn't it? Maybe instead of a watchdog, you could get a watchturkey. lol

I wish yu had a picture of the actual event.....I would have run too.

In England we are now hearing tales of cows ganging up on people as they walk the countryside....
Maybe we should all just mooo've out of their way.....
Sorry!!!
