I was on another persons blog when I saw that they could tell when each of their friends blogs had been updated, I then looked and found the tool that does just this! It is so nice not to have to check everyone's blog so often, especially those like my sister-in-law Anmaree, who only updates every 6 months!
Well, since so many seem to not know how to do this...I will fill you in.
These are the steps:
1: sign into your blog
2: go to Layout
3: add page element-should be on either right or left side of your blog
4: Choose the page element- BLOG LIST( in upper left hand corner)
5: You will have to enter EACH blog address individually all over again (this is the fun part right?)
6: If a blog is marked as private it will not show when they have updated. When you put a blog into this element and it is marked as private, a pop up will appear, just click ok. That is that!
7: Each blog title will appear as the title they have on their page, if you want to change it, you can do that where it says RENAME
8: Be sure to press SAVE before getting out of that screen so that you don't get upset with yourself!
9: Good Luck! (p.s. This is best to do when you have at least 30 minutes on your hands!)

hey, i have a question...
how do we customize our page so that we can email people when we update?
i saw that it was one of the earlier features (when i signed up) that i didn't check.
i hate that i didn't do that now!
any help???
