Swimming and more Swimming

Last Wednesday I decided to take the girls to Seven Peaks Water Park, down in Utah county since Geoff had free tickets from trade. I also thought, what a great idea to invite Anna and Connor since they live only minutes away from the water park. We had a lot of fun, Paityn even fell asleep when I put the life jacket on her, and sat her on me while floating in the tube! It was so cute...she just rested her head on the back of the life jacket, and her hat shaded her from the sun. I guess it was a good way for her to get a nap in while I still enjoyed the water.

Tristan and Taylor really had fun. They went on several slides, played in the wave pool with the tubes we rented, and spent hours on the lazy river! To my amazement, Taylor wanted to go on the really scary slide that goes almost straight down. I didn't think she would really do it, but with no fear, she did it, climbing the stairs all by herself, and then coming back down a much different way, a new experience for her. Her only complaint "it gave me a huge wedgy!", but she LOVED it! She is really daring, and I would NEVER dare try it, at her age (11) or any age. Paityn also went on her first slide, with mommy holding her of course. I think she liked it. Oddly, I was kind of scared, and it was a kiddy slide! I think it was just the fear that she would fall out of my arms under water when we came to the end, but that didn't happen...and we both had fun!

After hours in the sun, we headed home...tired and ready for some air conditioning and relaxation.

What a fun day we had, and it made it even better that we got to spend a little time with Paityn's Aunt and cousin! (p.s. I stole the last 3 pictures from Anna's blog, thanks for taking some fun pictures of us!)

Having just came from my garden,(I live in Illinois, the land of humidity), that water slide sounds great, but I think I like the idea of a nap, like Paityn, better. It sounds like you fun, and so did the kids, exercise, fresh air, and fun. You cant beat that combination

looks like fun at Seven Peaks...I HATE those tall waterslides...for the wedgie reason! Good that Paityn was so good with it all...I don't think that my baby would last all day...who knows...maybe he will surprise me!
