"BIG NEWS"!!!!!

For the past little while, Geoff and I have been contemplating a change in our lives. Many of you may know that Geoff works for a start up company, Lumin Publishing, as the Advertising Director. This means he oversees a sales team who sells ad space in their publications, including a business pub. and a community style pub. for Zions bank. This past friday, Geoff's boss came to him with an amazing opportunity, but it would require a huge change for us. After talking with me much of the weekend, we decided that we would go ahead with anything that would be beneficial for our future and the future of Geoff's career. So, Geoff has been asked to start a sales office in Denver Colorado, and begin a business publication there. We haven't figured out all of the details of this move, but we will be uprooting to find a place to live in the Denver area within the next couple of months. I know it will be hard to say goodbye to friends, and especially our family that is so close by, but we really couldn't pass such a great opportunity up with the increase that will take place in his salary.
For now, all that we know is that I will stay here with Paityn (and Milo) until we get our home sold, and Geoff will begin working in Denver as of June 1st, and probably just find a condo to rent.
I am exstatic for this move, because I know it will help us grow as a family to be on our own, and I will also get to be a stay at home mommy, hooray!!
With smiles of happiness, there also comes tears of sadness, but I know this move won't be forever...at least I hope not. Although, I have heard Denver is an amazing place and it is not too far away from Utah and California (our stompin' grounds).
With mixed feelings, I am trying to look on the positive side, so here are the pro's of living in Denver:
Snow- I LOVE the snow!
new- I have always wanted to move somewhere that we don't know a soul (although his co-worker and wife will be moving there as well!)
Food- a little birdie told me that the restaurants are a highlight
sports- we will have new teams to root for, although we will always be cheering for the Jazz, and the Angels!
That is all I can think of for now, I haven't had that much time to read up on the city, but I do hope shopping is good!
We will fill you all in as the time comes closer to June 1st, wish us luck!
APRIL FOOLS!!!! (but this pretending kinda makes me really want this to be true)

Well, I am sad that I haven't gotten to know you better! I have been meaning to have you and your Hubby over for dinner! (We live in your ward and just across the way, in case you were wondering!) Congrats on the big news, but it still makes me a little sad! Its not too late to have a dinner though, I will try to plan something!

awww Joy, Denver is definitly a big move and a change for all but I think you will love it. One of my very close friends from high school lives there and LOVES it. She actually just had a baby girl as well and is enjoying the mommy job! But she is in love with Denver and I think you will too...

You have me in tears, even though I am happy for you this is a selfish moment for me because I do not want to be far away from you all. If this is an April fools you have me snowed. If it is for real I really am happy for you and so sad for the rest of us left behind. I will miss you.

Well, You got me!! I think? Well, if it true, I know how your family feels, because my son-in-law just did this to us, except it is from Illinois to Maryland, 13 hours drive. The only one who is happy is him. My daughter and two kids are very unhappy. So I know how your family feels. If it is a April Fools Joke, I can only hope it works like that for me. But---I do not think I will be that lucky. Good joke. I never think of these kinds of things. I am too slow, I guess

Wish you had the April Fools sentence earlier in the day. I have worried so about it.

OH...MY...GOSH. You totally got us good! I totally just paused American Idol and said, "Oh my gosh, Jeremy, Joy and Geoff are moving to Denver to open a sales office!" Then, I read a little further and saw the April Fool's sentence. Good one! From the looks of the comments, that sentence hasn't been on there the entire day! You got us good!

Joy, You're a _hit! I was TOTALLY bumed. I even made Tyson come over and read it, asking why he didn't tell me and he's said "Geoff didn't say anything to me and I talked to him several times last night". Then I get to the bottom and BAM, right between the eyes!! That was a good one, I have to admitt but I'm going to say that I'm very glad it's not true. Sorry that I had to call you a bad name but we don't want to lose any more friends to out of staters!
