Just wanted to jot some things down, and this is the best place for me to do it. It's my journal you know. Lucky you, YOU get to read MY journal.
This past week was filled with fun, as I headed to California to visit my family, and of course, Paityn and Beck came along. We drove, carpooled actually with our friends, The Starks. 5 kids, one age 7, three age 2, and one age 1. Natalie and I had fun chatting the entire way, while the kids watched movies, and ate TONS of junk food. I couldn't believe how messy Beck got, but it kept him happy. Too bad all the sugar resulted in hardly any naps on the drive. We were tired once we arrived, and Beck seemed fairly sick. I ended up taking him to urgent care on Sunday, and it turns out, he had an ear infection. So, we got so meds and all was well. He was back to his happy self, yeah!
Disneyland was so much fun. Nice to be able to not feel like we had to get everything in, since we went for free. We just enjoyed our time together, and did things that the kids would have fun doing.
I was able to see several friends and family while visiting. The list includes: Danielle (Lunch date, and frozen yogurt). Renee (Pinkberry, yum!), Theresa (Newport Beach, CPK), Grandma (sunday dinner, pedicures), Uncle Chuck (sunday dinner), Aunt Marcy (evening visit), Brother Adam (Disneyland, fun at home, Costco), Brother Paul (playtime at home, the Park), Michael (adam's friend. Disneyland, fun at home), Dad (Disneyland, dinners, lunches, park, cookies, Monrovia visit, and more), Mom, (Disneyland, sunday dinner cook, park, Newport Beach, Sprinkles cupcakes, Costco, El Pollo Loco, and more). OH...and I can't leave out the dogs, Copper, Lucy, and Rocky. They were loved, and Beck couldn't get enough of them.
To sum things up....We had a wonderful week. The kids LOVED my family, and my family ADORES them. It was so cute to see my brothers play, and take care of my little kidlets so well. I love my family.
ALSO...
Beck is WALKING, everywhere. He caught on to the concept and now there is no holding him back. He just looks too little to be a full fledged walker!
And...I got a church calling. I am a teacher in Relief Society, and I am VERY scared. I think my worst fear, besides heights, is public speaking. I am OK, when it comes to teaching children, but adults, that is a different story. So be warned if you are in my ward, don't expect much, I am new at this "speaking to a group of adults" thing.

You will be fabulous! Just look for friendly faces... and ignore everyone else! Ha Ha
You'll be great! I look forward to being part of this new experience for you.
I am so jealous of your visit to CA!!!
Sounds like you were very busy on your trip and had a fun time.
That's great you are going to be teaching - (had to look on the LDS site to see what a relief society was ) -anyway they wouldn't have asked you if they didn't think you'd do a good job. Good luck with it.
I understand, I hate speaking in front of a group or public speaking (barely made it through speech class in college).
