When it rains it pours

Geoff was laid off for the second time in a year. This time, he wasn't too sad about it because he is in school and can see the light at the end of the tunnel (sort of), and he didn't like his job, but still, money doesn't just magically appear. Has anyone found that money tree that I have been searching for? Let me know!

For now we are just enjoying having Geoff around a little more often, and I think it is good that he actually has time to study. Chemistry and Biology in the same semester can't be much fun.

It is times like these, the times that we struggle that will only make us stronger, and closer as a family. I am actually thankful for these times. It makes the little things so much more important, and makes us love one another that much deeper.

So, while Californian's are crazed and unhappy with all the rain they are getting, I am actually going to enjoy this little storm in my life!

If he's taking enough credits you can always apply for student loans...or better yet, student grants ?????

You have such a good attitude!
Hang in there!
Kent was contacted by a guy hiring to sell commercial Pella windows to contractors in SLC- I can't remember what exactly Geoff did before, but if it's interesting to you, call us and we will get you some info

Joy, you are a good writer! My heart sunk with that first line. Then you put everything into perspective, written with such a fine flare.

You are able to put into words what you are thinking/feeling in such an artful way that it makes me feel better.

Do your words just come? When I write, it takes me along time to form my words and I have to read over what I've written, see if I'm making any sense. Then I have to proof read, cause I make so many mistakes . . . .

Thank you for your blog. It's life written so well!
