Ok, it's not like Paityn wasn't talking, she just is talking more and more everyday now! It is so fun to hear the things she says, and the things she copies other people say.
Tonight Paityn told me she wanted food. I had just made meatballs. I said, "do you wanna try one?"
Paityn says "yes"
then she keeps coming back saying "I have a treyem?"
I then realized she thought the meatballs were called try one, and in her little voice she called them treyems!
I was reading her Dora book with her this afternoon, and it is a book where you look for different items. I would say, "where is ..." and she would reply every time "I don't see ..." I think she thought it was a game, because she would see them, and just not point to them until I pointed them out! (maybe this was more funny to me, but this blog is for my memory sake, so there!)
We were coloring this morning in Paityn's Elmo and Friends coloring book. I kept pointing to Ernie, thinking (for some reason that it was Elmo) and she kept saying, "No, it's not Elmo" I was insistent that it was, until she turned to a page that had Elmo, and told me "here's Elmo!" I quickly apologized to her!
Just recently when we read her books, that are also television shows (I know, bad mommy!) she points to the characters and knows all of their names! I was amazed she listens that intently to her shows.
Whenever she hears a noise, she says "I hear something" or, "I hear someone" and she is quiet for a second trying to see if she can hear it again, and wanting me to hear it as well. It's too cute!
She is a smart little girl, and now that she is talking I can see how smart she really is. I love it. I love watching her, and listening to her.
