The other day I was taking Milo out to go potty, and Paityn came along. Geoff was at work, and this is the conversation Paityn had with me.
Paityn: (pointing to some other house) "daddy house?"
Me: No
Paityn: "daddy, two houses?"
Me: No, daddy only has one house
Paityn: "one house?"
Me: Yes, one house
Paityn: "ours?"
Me: "Yes, daddy lives with us at our house"
Paityn: "points to our house" (I think in wonder of where daddy was)
So sweet, and sad. Daddy must work a lot these days if she think he has another house.
Tonight I was putting Paityn to bed and I layed down with her. She wanted her daddy, so I told her he had to do some work tonight.
Our conversation:
Me: daddy has to work
Paityn: money daddy, daddy no money?
Me: daddy has to work to make money
Paityn: oh, daddy money.
She does love money, already! She always wants to get the coins out of my diaper bag, and she even thinks "cards" are money. Oh no!!!!

Priceless!
I found your blog the other day and It's taken me a few days, reading a little here and there and enjoying all your wonderful pictures. You are a GREAT photographer and your subjects are so cute! I feel like I've spent the last couple of years with you as you've started motherhood, decorating you house, finishing the basement . . . is it finished yet? Getting through Beck's allergies and much more! I should have taken notes so I could comment on more! I thought the one thing that was most interesting is that you WANT comments, hints and suggestions. I found this refreshing from a young person. Most often, young people are not so interested in other peoples ideas and help. My own sisters in-law never wanted any advice or help, they just want to talk with other young mothers about stuff and that's it! It's so strange, this blog thing! Here I've read about your experiences, and yet we have never met. I suppose it it much like a book. But here, I can "comment" almost instantly after a blog is posted. Amazing! I guess with that comes the odd "you're a terrible person" comment. Which I think you handled well. It takes a strong person to be attacked and be able to move on. While reading your blog, I thought this is so wonderful! It's like a journal . . . which made me wonder if you keep a journal? Would you need to, with a blog? My husband's family's house burned down when he was about 17. Everything was burned. But I kept thinking with the blog, you will always have pictures to come back to , , , no matter what happens elsewhere. AND . . . you are a WONDERFUL photographer! And I am jealous that your husband is one too . . . when I hand the camera over to my husband, you never know what you're gonna get!!! I have been a very amateur photographer myself and took classes back in the days of dark rooms. I love the digital world! I can take so many pictures and just delete the ones that didn't turn out . . . though I have to admit, I find it hard to delete any picture. I will edit it till I think I can save it!! Well, I'm not even sure how much this "comment" thing will let me go on, so I have to say, "Nice to meet you, Joy! Have a great day"! Cheri Brown
That is adorable, isn't it awesome when they start figuring out the world. It like is is a privelege to help this small person grow and learn the right ways of the world.
Kids crack me up. They will say ANYTHING thats on their mind. I can't believe how big she's getting. And Beck is such a handsome baby!
