To bring you up to date on the phone situation, I am happy and SO grateful to say that I have a new phone. I was suprized when the next morning I woke up to read an email that said,
"tell me how much the phone cost and I will put a check in the mail" -you know who you are and I cannot thank you enough. And no, it wasn't my mom or dad!
So, the next day, Friday, I headed to the Apple store downtown and purchased the iPHone 3G because they could not do anything for a phone destroyed by water damage. Of course, that is the only thing a warranty will not cover!
Being the amazing wife I am, and Geoff being jealous that I had the new model of the iPhone and he still having the old model, I graciously allowed him to have the new phone. I figured, I would rather ruin an older phone than be scared to death of causing any harm to a brand new $400 dollar phone! Of course, I won't ruin the older phone, because I will be much more attentive to it from now on, and not throw it in with my laundry!
On a final note, I just have to say it feels so good to have a phone, and not only A PHONE, but the phone that I loved so dearly. The phone that I cried over thinking I would never again have such a nice phone. The feeling is wonderful, I love my gadget called a phone!
