Beck Malan Osmond

                                                        BECK MALAN OSMOND
He is here, and he couldn't wait any longer, so he arrived 16 days early, to our satisfaction.

We loved him the moment our eyes were layed upon him at 1:13 am, on Thursday February 26, 2009.
He weighs in at 6 lbs. 15 oz. and is 21 inches long
The most adorable thing about him is his full head of dark hair.
I will go into my story of how he got here another time, when I can sit at the computer for a long period, but for now I just wanted to share with our friends and family that he has arrived, and is loved more than I ever thought possible.
Just a short update: He went into the NICU right after birth because he was breathing really heavy and quickly.
They predict either fluid in his lungs, which usually clears up in 48 hours, or Pneumonia, which is more likely the case, since it hasn't cleared up just yet. He is still in the NICU and doing better every day, and on antibiotics which are working well!
We get to visit him as often as possible, being the parents, but because of RSV season they will not allow others to visit frequent, or even hold him.
I have had an amazing time bonding with him, and just holding him for hours. Geoff is a great daddy, of course, and is always wanting to be with his baby Beck.
We are doing a "hotel stay" at the hospital, where we can stay in the same room as long as they don't need it for a new patient, and we can be close by to see baby Beck whenever we would like, which is wonderful. The only downfall...I can't push the nurse button, or get room service like if I were a patient!
That's all I have time for. I will write more later, and let you all know how Beck is progressing in his care back to normal health.
Thanks to all, for the visits, calls, emails and concern. We love you and can't wait for you all to meet our newest addition to the Osmond Family!

Congratulations on the new baby - he is adorable. Sorry to hear he's in NICU, I hope he recovers quickly and glad to hear the antibiotics are working.

That's great you are able to have a "hotel stay" at the hospital and stay close to him.

Good thoughts and prayers are out to you and Beck.

Congrats on Beck. Hope he gets to go home soon. I know how hard it is to leave a child in the NICU. Carter was there for almost 7 weeks. HOpe you are doing good.

How exciting! As a mom of 3 very overdue children I must say I'm a bit jealous....my nephew had the smae thing happen as Beck and stayed in the NICU for over a week and came home great! If he is as fiesty as his Dad he will be home in no time, welcome Kermie junior!

Congratulations on Baby Beck, sorry he is having problems, but it sounds like everything is under control. Take care of yourselves, and enjoy the baby, and Paityn. You will be busy, but it will be a wonderful busy with your two babies.
I am sure you will have lots of family to help, and that is also joyous.
