The Joys of Painting

At this very moment, I am taking a break from painting the basement ceilings, and I just thought I would blog about it. Unfortunately I have no pictures to share of the exciting event, but you get the idea. Geoff and myself, in grungy clothes, paint rollers in hand, white paint, and ceilings being covered! That is as good as it gets. Luckily it is almost finished with, and then we will paint the walls, hooray for color. I hate painting white. The walls will be a light tan color matching the rest of our home.

I have to say thank you to our wonderful friends who last night took the time to come help us prime the basement. What a task, but with 6 of us it was much faster, and more fun! Thanks Brandon, Rob and Lindsay, and Jerry (geoff's step dad). We owe you more than the pizza you ate! And thanks to Lyn for watching Paityn while we were busy.
You may ask, "your'e painting and pregnant?" Well, yes, I am. I asked my doctor if it was ok, and he said it was fine, as long as we had ventilation and I took breaks. So, that is why I am blogging, I am taking my doctor prescribed break!
I think Geoff is beginning to wonder where I have ran off to, I better get going.

P.S. IF ANYONE WANTS TO GIVE OF THEIR SERVICE THIS HOLIDAY SEASON, THE OSMOND HOME STILL IS THE PLACE TO BE. PAINTING THE WALLS ON THURSDAY NIGHT. LET US KNOW IF YOU CAN HELP!!

I wish I was there to help. You might think I'm crazy but I LOVE painting (not ceilings too much)...

Anyway, good luck. It must be so exciting to be getting it done!

It sounds like the basement will be great looking when you are done.
unfortunately I am unable to help with your painting(I hate painting) because I am too far from you in Illinois, although I am not sure I should be to proud of Illinois, right now. At least of our governor.
Take it easy, and take lots of breaks,

Well, Joy, it's a shame I don't know you (except for your blog) because I would be the first to offer my services. I love painting my house; it's only three years old, but already I've painted my kitchen four times. Painting my house is very therapeutic to me. Have fun and know that I'm jealous. Hmmm, maybe I'll paint my kitchen again!

I got your text about helping you paint, unfortunately I have to work, but I can watch Paityn and Milo if you need until 7pm. I am not sure what time you are planning on starting. The kids would love to see both of them, otherwise I would try to help out more if I could. I know what a bother it is to paint, two houses later...from now on I am hiring a professional! Let me know if you want the help...

sounds like a busy project. I'm sure it will look really nice when it's done. That's nice you had some help and hopefully you will get alot more help. (If I knew you and lived near you, I'd volunteer too). That's great your mother-in-law could watch Paityn too.
