Ok, so today I heard a name, and I really like it, and so does Geoff. Well, I still like other names as well, so I am going to change the poll and narrow it down, and have you all vote again! The funny thing is that the name I like the most on my poll, is Eli, and you obviously don't seem to agree with me, which I actually think is good, it means it isn't as popular, and I don't want a popular name that every other boy his age will have. SO...time to vote!!
P.S.
-I heard the name Sawyer on the radio as a last name, I have never seen the t.v. show LOST
-we liked Beck when we were pregnant with Paityn
-I just really like the name Eli, no reason, just like it. Might be weird having Paityn and Eli though, since the Manning brothers have the same names (pro. football players)

Eli is a good suggestion. It must be hard to think of a good name for a child.
My cousin told me she had chosen a good name until her sister made a comment it sounded like a stripper's name. (It seems people always have comments on names)
My other cousin said each girls name she would think of - she thought of a girl she didn't like in school.
I agree you don't want a name that every other boy has either.
I voted for Eli, because when I see the name Sawyer, I think of the character from the tv show "Lost".
I know you'll pick a perfect name - you picked a great name with Paityn. That's very pretty, not so common name.
I, for one, really hope you use the name Eli. I LOVE that name. If I ever marry I'd want to use that name myself.
I vote for "Beck" but think of his initials...B.O. My brother's were B.M. and no one but me ever noticed (haha) so it may not matter that much. It's really cute though.
Ooooo!! unusual names... still like Jack though. Isn't it exciting??
how about SETH?
Are you going along with a TV theme? Sawyer is from Lost and Eli is from the new show Eli Stone...Blake has a beck on his baseball team or maybe the name came from the radio personality Glen Beck? Whatever it is I like all 3 names...=)
I have NEVER seen the show LOST so I didn't even know a character named Sawyer existed, and I have never seen the show Eli Stone. I just like both of the names. I actually heard Sawyer on the radio as a last name and I liked it! I am suprised that no one has picked up on the fact that Eli and Peyton Manning are brothers, so would that be weird to have Paityn and Eli for us?
From an English point of view...which of course this little boy will not be...So for interest....
Anything Beck here would be construed as something taken from the Beckhams...
Eli was the name of a real old man from Yorkshire in a TV show and I think he was Jewish...
I have never in my life met anyone called Eli.
Sawyer...as in Tom....dont inmagine anyone has used that in UK.
I liked Hunter, but I know it is becoming popular, as, here, is Harrison.
Jack...is the most common boys name in England, well it was last year anyway.
So, as I said just for interest.
I actually like all three names but I thought Sawyer Osmond sounded real nice, but Eli Osmond is also good.
My mother in law used to go out the back door and call out the name of the babyname she was thinking of naming the baby, at the time, and usually one of the names sounded better being called out, like she was calling them home. She said it sounded wierd, but she used that method with all her kids. This does not have anything to do with you, I just thought it was funny, and so shared.
I was just thinking - I wouldn't worry about tv shows and names, Eli and Peyton Manning, etc.. In a few years nobody will remember those things. I'm a football fan and I didn't even think of the Manning brothers.
10 years ago a friend of mine wanted to name her daughter Monica, and it was during the Monica Lewinsky stuff. She was worried if she went with that name -people would think of Monica Lewinsky, and 10 years later I'm sure nobody makes the connection.
Only thing I've heard is to think of initials and to picture the name used by an old person, or in business and see if it works.
Good luck. You haven't mentioned if you've been sick recently, so hopefully that is good news and you are feeling better.
I don't even know who the Manning brothers are, so I think you're safe.
I like Eli and seeing as I am a big football fan I almost fell off my chair laughing, b/c that was exactly what I was thinking. The Manning brothers are successful men, and with your Osmond family who knows! ;)
I thought I was being original when I picked my son's name (14 years ago). Turns out, I was a bit of a "trendsetter", I guess... you wouldn't believe the huge number of little ones who were born that year, that were given the same name! :)
Still, we had two names in mind for boys' names when I was pregnant with him, and when he was finally delivered on my stomach, the name I felt in my heart for him just seemed to "fit". If you have any doubts, you'll just look at your little one the day he's delivered to you and just KNOW.
He'll wind up telling you, instead of the other way around! ;)
I don't think it would be weird to have Paityn and Eli. It didn't even dawn on me until you mentioned it. YOu could use Eli Sawyer as a name, just a thought. Sometimes I think the hardest part of having a baby is deciding on the name.
I don't think it's a big deal to have Paityn and Eli. Especially because your Paityn is a little girl and her spelling is different from the football player. In fact it's kind of cute.
