We kept ourselves busy yesterday....
Geoff began the day cleaning the church at 9 am
At 9:30 we headed downtown Salt Lake City to the Circus, Barnum and Bailey to be exact! -It was a lot of fun, though Paityn got REALLY restless by intermission. She finally fell asleep about 20 minutes before the end. I think her favorite part was the popcorn, of all things! My favorite part was the Elephants, and the clowns of course. What would a circus be without those two highlights? Well, I could have done without the scantily clad ladies in stripper apparel though! I thought the circus was supposed to be geared towards young children, not dirty old men!
At 1:30 we headed back home for some much needed nap time! About 2 hours of napping and we were ready for our next adventure of the day.
4:30 we dropped Paityn off with Granny Lyn and they played together while we went downtown again, this time to the University of Utah Game. Luckily, Geoff has season tickets so we can go to every home game played.
6 pm the game began, and Kim and I sat quietly while our husbands, Brandon and Geoff, cheered wildly for the Utes as the Weber State Wildcats scored the first touchdown- uh oh! It ended up much better though. We left with 7 minutes in the game, and the score was 37-7. The final score 37-21 only happened because we put in our 3rd string players, and kind of sat back I think!
9 pm we headed home- picked up Paityn who was sleeping soundly at Granny's, and then headed to bed ourselves after a long fun-filled day!
***Pictures coming soon-isn't that what you all care about anyway?

Joy,
It's great the "old Joy" is back with us, keeping your family and friends up on what's going on!
I got a kick out of the fact that it only took Geoff a half an hour (less, really) to clean the church :)
Also, I do care about what you guys do, but I'll have to admit, the pictures are the best part of your blogs (when Paityn are in them,of course!)
Much love,
Mom and Grandma Mickie
What a nice day. I do like the pictures but I do love your telling of a story or just enjoy your style of writing. You have a lovely family.
sounds like a fun and busy day. Hope you are feeling better. We had a fun Saturday with good news, my brother and his girlfriend announced they were engaged which was exciting.
I also like seeing the pictures but it wouldn't be the same without your writing in your blog.
PHEW!! and when did you draw breath! Ha :) what a fun packed day. Joy, I take my hat off to you for sitting through a football match. I had a chap once who lived played and loved Cricket! trust me I KNOW Cricket!
