KID TAG

PAITYN JOY OSMOND

My friend Jill, and her daugther Taylor( Paityn's friend) tagged us, so I get the opportunity to tell you 5 things about Paityn that you may not know (though you probably do)!

1. Paityn was born 3 weeks early, hallelujah!! The due date my doctor gave me was September 14th, and I wanted so bad for this baby to come in August, so I asked Dr. Barton if he would induce me 2 weeks early which would have been August 31st. You know, because of the school cut off dates and such. Anyway, he objected saying that was too early, but he would induce me a week ahead of schedule if things were going as planned (dilating on my own). That would have been September 7th. Well, it made me happy that she would at least be early...I was so done being pregnant. On Fri. August 24th I had a Dr. appt. and Dr. Barton told me the inducing wasn't looking to good because I really hadn't done much on my own, no dilating or anything. I went home in tears. To our suprise, on Sunday August 26th at 2 am, my water broke to everyone's shock, and Paityn was born 9 hours later, hooray for an August birthday

2. Paityn and her daddy have the same exact feet and toes (the toes spread really far apart!)

3. Paityn now has two teeth, and did not get sick or fussy at all while getting either tooth in, lucky for everyone involved!

4. Paityn has an obsession with sticking her fingers in ANYONE's mouth when she wants to be soothed. This really irritates her mommy, and probably everyone else that she tries to do this to. When I give in, because it puts her to sleep, she sometimes scratches my gums so hard, owwy! Daddy really doesn't mind that she likes to do this...see, she is already getting daddy wrapped around her little finger!
5. Paityn is the first grandchild on my side, and is the first person to be born into my immediate and extended family in like 12 years. Her birth was a huge deal! She is the 5th grandchild on her daddy's side, the third girl...and she is spoiled by his family like no other child I have ever seen!!

So those are just a few random things, and now I have the chance to tag some other kidlets...so with Paityn's approval, we tag: Lauren, Zach and Connor (her cousins that also blog)

I'm glad whe was born in August too. We were so happy to finally have her here and now look at her, she is growing and progressing so much each day. Enjoy her, because they grow up so fast. My baby is her daddy and yesterday he was just a little boy. It doesn't take long.

I'm so glad you updated your blog! I was getting depressed when I'd open it and see the same thing, not that seeing precious Paityn as a "Strawberry Sweetheart" is ever boring.
I'm glad she was born early too so we could have her here sooner...and to think of that crazy weekend!!!!!!!!
I hope I get the privilege of having her stick her fingers in my mouth when you two visit next week; I can't wait!!

I'm sure being pregnant in the summer was miserable - where I live the humidity is the worse, I feel bad when it's hot. Glad she came earlier then expected and she was healthy.

The cutoff date where I live is September 30 for the schools, but when I was growing up it was December 31.

Reading about how your daughter has inherited your husband's type of foot makes me think- isn't genetics funny, what we inherit from our parents - from coloring, to little things, to even personality. My brother is just like my Dad in the personality department.

I was just visiting a friend with two little boys over the weekend (they are 2 and 4) and they thought it was so funny sticking their finger in my mouth and me sticking my finger in their mouth - until they started biting it. The 2 year old didn't quite get the not biting part.

I'm going to miss reading your blog for the next 10 days (unless I find internet access) - I'm heading on vacation to France - can't wait. I planned this months and months ago, although the dollar is so bad now I hope it won't be too expensive. (I used frequent flier miles for the airfare at least)

I love the finger thing, that is so funny, I can totally visualize it. Taylor totally has her daddy around her finger too. It must be the daddy/daughter thing.
