This morning Paityn and I went to the doctor for her six month check-up and immunizations. The check-up part went great-kept on smiling, but when it got to the needles she screamed, which is never fun for mommy or baby.
Well the verdict is in, here are her stats at this point: Weight: 17 lbs. 3 0z - in the 75th percentile
Height: 27 1/4 -in the 97th percentile
do you know what Dr. Ormond said about this? "your going to have a tall girl, maybe 5'11". I wonder if he was serious!! Geoff and I are both on the avg. side for our sexes.
Head circumference: 16.9- in the 75th percentileDallin (the Dr.) also talked about the milestones for her age
-she can now start eating stage 2 baby foods- mixed foods, and meats (yucky)
-we can give her the little baby cereal snacks (like cheerios)
-she MAY begin to teeth
- can add different medicines in like benadryl and motrin
-introduce a cup (she already loves taking my cup from me!)
There are tons of other things, but those are what stood out to me. I can't believe how quickly everything changes, and how early a baby is ready for certain things.

The picture of her holding out her arms to you, is absolutely precious! It sure did bring back memories of my kids when they were small. These pics that you are taking will be so great when they are older, bring back those wonderful days of innocence.

she is absolutely adorable. I don't have any kids of my own but have been babysitting for years. I hate seeing them cry when they get hurt or whatever.
All my friends who are parents said they hate it when they babies/kids have to get shots - its so miserable.
I remember hearing once (not sure if it's an old wives tale) that if you take the height of boy at 2 years old and double it and the height of a girl at 2 1/2 and double it - thats about how tall they'll be as an adult.
The important thing is she is healthy and happy.
Thanks again for encouraging strangers to post and letting us read your blog - I enjoy reading it, you and your husband seem like very nice down to earth people and very good parents. It's refreshing to read.
