Well, the day turned out great. I really had no expectations this year, after all, we do have a little baby to tend to and enjoy so I told Geoff whatever he wanted to do would be good with me. I had given him a few ideas about a week ago, and he decided to take me up on those ideas. The afternoon/evening was simple, yet so special to us. We first dropped off Paityn at Granny's house, and then enjoyed a nice romantic, though speedy meal at Taco Bell. Yes, you read that correctly, we ate there because that is the first place Geoff told me "I love you". At this point it was 4:50, and the movie Geoff had bought tickets for started at 5:05, so we quickly ate our burritos and we were off to the theater. Luckily a short distance away! We arrived about 5:08, but with previews we figured we would be ok. So, Geoff wanted to suprise me with his choice of movies, and made sure that I hadn't seen any without him recently. I told him I hadn't seen any movies that he didn't know I had seen. Anyway, they tore our tickets, and tell us "Theater 1, to your left and down the hall". As we turn down the hall I look to theather 1 and "JUNO" is playing. I of course had seen this movie with my mom on New Years Eve, and I figured Geoff rememebered. Well, he didn't, and because I don't like seeing movies twice we looked for another movie playing about the same time. We found one that we hadn't yet seen that started a few minutes before at 4:55, so we probably missed the first 10 minutes. The movie we ended up seeing was "The Bucket List" and it was really good, though, I was balling by the end and left the theater all teary eyed.
After the movie, we went back to our house, picked up Milo and headed back to Granny's where we find Paityn in tears because she missed us so much. Once I held her in my arms she calmed down again. That made me feel so special and loved.
One final thing Geoff did was set up dessert (with his mom's help) up in her loft, the place where he proposed to me! So, we ended our romantic Valentine's by eating Kahlua Cream Cheese Pie (my fav. from Marie Callendars) by candlelight! We then played a game with Lyn and Jerry while Paityn went to bed, and now we are back home and about to go to bed ourselves.
Hope everyone had as much fun as we did. It was definitely so great to have a baby to celebrate this holiday with this year. As you will see I tried to have a photo shoot with the little critter, but she didn't want to cooperate very well.
P.S. Milo got his hair cut for his Valentine's present
oh and the present I gave Geoff was a pair of shorts, and Paityn made him handprints and put them in a frame. We also exchanged cards, and Geoff got me some yummy eclairs!
