****IF YOU READ MY BLOG AND YOUR BLOG IS NOT ON MY SIDEBAR, PLEASE!!!!! GIVE ME THE ADDRESS. WHEN I CHANGED BLOG NAMES I LOST EVERYONE. I WOULD LOVE TO ADD YOU ALL BACK TO MY LIST!!!****
How exciting! Brielle took a few weeks to start liking the whole solid thing. Bumbo seats are AWESOME! I'm sure you've heard of them. They are those quishy little seats. I got mine at target. They even have tray you can buy to attach to the seat. It's good for eating, playing, a different view of the world, etc. Brielle LOVED hers, so did her cousin Sydney. My mom bought one first for her house, then I decided it was too great not to have. Look into it.
I actually have that, thanks...she doesnt really enjoy it, but for now that is what we will use. she just wants to try to wiggle out of it when she is in it!!
It might take forever, but it will soon be worth it. If you were looking at a high chair KSL is the way to go, you can fill in gaps with blankets to help proper her up, that is what we did with Gennovah, she didn't seem to mind. I also put her in the high chair to watch a Baby Einstein video every now and again to get her used to sitting up in the chair. It really helped, so...Good luck with it mama, your little one is growing up :)
Here is a discourse my apologies, but I am learning stuff like this constantly in my classes!
I learned from a Pediatric specialist that one needs to look for 4 things to determine whether or not a baby is ready for food.
First baby is Sitting up.
Second is teeth: the saliva changes and increases to break down the food so it does not cause intestinal issues (alergies etc)
Third is the pincer grasp to pick up food and put in mouth(using the pointer and thumb).
Fourth is you should wait for the tongue reflex to go away (when the tongue thrusts forward and pushes things out of the mouth).
Totally makes sense right!
There is never a magic one size fits all age. Rice cereal was introduced forever ago when formula became popular because it is easily fortified with iron. When you breastfeed you don't have to worry about anemia but when you formula feed it is harsh on the babies stomachs and causes micro hemorrhages.
Rice Cereal is also pretty much broken down into sugar in the body because it has been totally processed.
I also found it interesting that babies don't have the enzyme to break down grains until at least 9 months.
Firsts foods usually recommended are avocados, sweet potatoes, squashes.
She looks like she is thriving! She is absolutely beautiful.
I enjoy writing, and keeping up to date on the lives of my little kidlets. I am looking for a full-time job but I just don't know what route to take. I am learning to enjoy alone time, but I really miss when Paityn and Beck aren't with me. I have amazing friends, and wonderful family who I could not live without. I still enjoy photography but it has kind of taken a back seat lately. I also have been enjoying my cardio fitness boot camp. It kicks my butt and I'm lovin' it!!
Paityn Joy
She's 4! She is beginning to be much more obedient, and she is just so loveable. She always wants to cuddle. Much different than when she was a baby. She loves her friends, Hello Kitty, Dora, and Strawberry Shortcake. She loves to sing and loves to learn, and she is really enjoying her first year of preschool with Mrs. Luci
Beck Malan
2 years old and talking up a storm. He still loves BALLS. If he is not holding a ball, throwing a ball, kicking a ball, or bouncing a ball, he probably isn't going to be very happy! He has also started a new hobby of tormenting his big sister and her friends, it kinda makes me laugh but it's really not nice!
Milo
Our little pup! Is lonely, and bored most of the time. He puts up with his "siblings", but doesn't enjoy being too close to them. He LOVES to be outside whenever he gets the chance, and still can do tricks, if he gets a treat!

little stinker! Just kidding. You'll need a highchair eventually, so maybe just get one that has a 5 point harness to keep her from sliding down/over.
