This past Christmas Geoff suprised me with a KitchenAid mixer, which up to this point, I had never used. Well, I got the chance to use it on sunday morning because Geoff needed cookies made from scratch for his lesson at church. I was just going to guide him along while he made the cookies, but I decided it would be much easier to do it on my own. I had not made cookies from scratch in quite some time, and I figured this would be the perfect time to put my "new" appliance to good use!
The reason Geoff needed these cookies made was to compare one batch to another, and relate it to recieving revelation, and how you can't ignore the guidlines, or things won't go as planned.
So, I made one batch of chocolate chip cookies with the typical ingredients; flour, sugar, brown sugar, baking soda, salt, eggs, vanilla and chocolate chips (they were delicious). For the second batch, I added; hot sauce, ketsup, lemon juice, maple syrup, craisins, garlic salt, and parsley flakes...and I heard they actually didn't taste that bad!!!!

Anyway, I guess his object lesson worked great, and so did my "new" mixer!!!
