Turning FIVE

PAITYN JOY
This little darling turned 5 today, and she couldn't be more excited to grow up. Mommy, however, wants her to quit growing so quickly. Just a little note so Paityn remembers what she was like at the age of five. You are quite a firecracker, and definitely always want to get your way. I think if you hear the word NO, you just block it out and continue to ask. Not so fun for your parents. We are teaching you that no means no, and you cannot always have your way. You are beautiful, and such a girly girl. Always wanting to wear pink, always wanting to wear make up and always wanting to dress up. You still love your dollies, and you treat them, and your teddy bears like they are you children. I even found that you put your teddy bears shoes lined up in your closet amongst your, 25 + pairs of shoes. I know, mommy has an obsession with shoes and clothing for her little girl. I don't think you mind too much. You love swimming, and have had so much this summer at the water park and the Trolson swimming pool. I bet you could take that life jacket off and swim just fine, but you are a little on the scared side when it comes to doing things out of your comfort zone. You LOVE watching tv, and often fall asleep in front of it, while SUCKING your thumb. We are trying to get that habit broken quickly because it is messing up your speech. Words that would normally end in "F" end in "TH" and you get frustrated when mommy tries to correct you. Dentist appointment soon to see what we can do to bite the habit. You always want to have friends come over to play, but I know deep down your little brother is still your best friend. You guys really are inseparable. He wants to be just like you! You are so ambitious and love learning. You really would've been ready for kindergarten this year but mommy and daddy decided it would be best for one more year of preschool and to have you be the oldest in your class. I could keep on going....and I really need to use this blog to journal more about your day to day life. You are LOVED by me, your daddy, your family, and everyone that meets you. SO glad I get to call you my daughter.
