It's been a while

Update...
Life is busy, but going well. We moved....about 4 months ago, back on April 20th. We are now living in a suburb closer to downtown SLC, much closer. I don't LOVE where we live, but I do LOVE all of the AMAZING parks nearby. One of our favorites is Liberty Park, with so many things to do, and a great running trail. Yes, I am back into my routine of running. It's hard but worth every minute that I spend doing it. Mostly, I run on the treadmill during my lunch hour at work, and I am not a fan of the treadmill, but on Wednesdays when I have the kids I enjoy the run outside at the park. We have been having such a fun summer. We went camping for 4 days with Nick and his family during the 4th of July weekend. We spent the 4th at another park in the area, Sugar House park. We have passes to Seven Peaks water park so we try to go every wednesday (thats my one day off during the week), and the water park is only about 15 minutes away. I celebrated my 30th birthday a couple of weeks ago, yikes! Mom and Grandma Bobbie came up for a little trip and we got to have them here on my birthday, which was a monday, so I took the day off work. We went to Tracy Aviary (bird zoo, as I call it), lunch, and shopping! Backing up a little bit, back in June...Dad came to visit and take a fishing trip, so I got to spend Fathers Day with him for the first time in probably 9 years!!! Even though I am extremely busy working away my life at Comcast, I am so glad I get to make time to enjoy my children while they are young. I cherish the days I have them. I will never get this time back. Paityn is almost 5! Can you believe that? Less than 3 weeks to go until that big day. She is not starting kindergarten this year. We decided (Geoff and I) that she will be in school the rest of her life (pretty much) and we would rather have her be the oldest in her class instead of the youngest. She is SO ready, and SO looking forward to it, but preschool will have to do. It will be a busy fall. Kids starting preschool, back in gymnastics, kindermusik, and Paityn really wants to get back into dance. I dont know if we will have time though. A little more about the kids, Beck (3) has been a challenge lately, testing his boundaries, testing his parents patience, and just learning how to behave without throwing a tantrum over everything. Paityn is so dang sweet. She can definitely get whiny and throw a fit when she doesn't get what she wants, but for the most part she is very helpful and very loving. Not to say that Beck is horrible, but he very much has me wrapped around his finger. I am really trying to discipline him to the best of my knowledge, and give him the attention that he so badly wants and deserves all at the same time. 3 is not my favorite age. I like little itty bitty babies, and then around 5 I start loving the age again, I think thats the conclusion I have come to. The inbetween really has tested me as a mom. I love being a mom, it is teaching me a lot about who I am, and what things I need to change in my life to be a better person, for myself and for my children.
In a very short version, I think that about sums up what is going on in our lives. I really need to try to get better at keeping up with this since it is so great to have to look back at in later years. I cherish the blog posts I have from years past, and don't want to forget about these memories!
