Nursing School

I have a lot of blogging to catch up on. I have not been in the right frame of mind to sit down, away from my kidlets and blog though. I just wanted to quickly say a few things.
A week ago, Friday October 1st, Geoff got the good news. He was accepted into the Nursing School at Salt Lake Community College. He will start the middle of January and that will pretty much occupy his time for the next 2 years of our lives.
I am excited for him. I know he is passionate about this. I know he is doing this because he loves people and the medical field. I also know he is doing this to support our family long term.
For a while I thought this was about him. His future, his goals. I pretty much had to be run over by a semi-truck to make me realize, all his hard work, all his time at school, it's for US. For our little family.
Life can be challenging. The Lord gives us trials. The Lord blesses us when we work for what we want. Geoff has worked so hard to get to this point. He has been an amazing student. He has showed people at the hospital how deserving he was of a position there while he was volunteering. I think it was only two weeks later that he got hired! We are slowly getting there. We will get there. He has many fans on his side. We have many fans on our side.
Good luck Mr. Nurse!!! I love you.

You'll get through it if you love and support each other. I am excited for you both.

Good luck to both of you. Two years out of a lifetime together isn't long in the scheme of things.

What always helps me is thinking what could be worse and there is usually something that could be.

I'm always impressed with those who work and go to school, and with Geoff also being a father and husband.

I have a cousin who is 20 years old and a single Mother of a 2 year old and I don't tell her enough how proud I am of her working part time as an EMT and going to Paramedic school. I'm really impressed with Geoff too.
