Independence Day
We celebrated a day early, because in Utah, that's how it is done if the holiday is on a Sunday. Interesting, huh?
This is the rundown of our day, July 3rd:
-me running a 5K-around the lake, not in a race
-Riverton pancake breakfast
-nap time
-West Jordan carnival- never to be done again. It was a bit trashy, and I think Paityn caught on to that. She didn't want anything to do with the rides this time!
-purchasing of fireworks, a lot of them.
-purchasing of 3-d glasses (I think this only works with the huge firework shows. It didn't do anything for our front yard firework display).
-BBQ at the Ellis home of hamburgers and brats, and other yum yums.
-firework show courtesy of Geoff Osmond and Brandon Ellis (although, Beck really wishes he could have helped).
-Sitting around the fire pit, about to roast some marshmallows for s'mores, when it started to sprinkle.
Doesn't that sound like a fun day? Well it was. The Ellis family are good company. We had a blast!
Now, I hope you all have a great 4th of July remembering why we celebrate this day. Happy Birthday AMERICA!!

sounds like a fun busy day. I was up at the beach in Ocean City, NJ - and went out to dinner with my cousin, his daughter and grandaughter who's 2 years old. Then we went to the beach to watch the fireworks (they were about 28 blocks away so not noisy.
