Do most people really make the best with what they are given? I mean, really! Who wants to make delicious lemonade if they are handed rotten lemons?
This is how I feel right now, and I am fairly positive that Geoff agrees with me.
We have been married for 4 years, and well...life has been an adventure every step of the way. We have learned, we have loved, and we have struggled.
This time in our lives is about the hardest yet, and it really is a huge struggle. I know, we should be grateful for what we DO have, but it just isn't that easy sometimes.
The greatest blessings we have, are of course, our children...and we want to create a household that is the best for them. So, why can't everything just be perfect all of the time? Oh how I wish for that!
THIS year, has by far been our biggest battle, from one obstacle to another, and we are just trying to maneuver around each one. Sometimes, we need help, and sometimes we feel like nothing out there is going to help us.
First we have struggled with Beck's colic, and allergies to milk, which has created a $200/month formula fund. (that may not seem like much, but for us, right now, it is.)
Second, we have struggled with Geoff losing his job, during a time where jobs are few and far between. This happened when Beck was only 2 months old.
Geoff is an amazing guy, he has a great education, several years of work experience...and still, he cannot find a job that uses him to his full potential. Why oh why, do WE have to go through this? What are we suppose to learn from all of this?
Do trials really make us stronger, more united as a family? DO THEY??? I really hope so.
(that ends my complaining session, for now!)

That does sound hard! We wish you the best and hope you feel lifted up in your trials. I don't know that Jeff and I feel growth in the middle of a trial, but looking back I can see it. I have felt the same way you do in this post many times.
It sucks, I know. John was laid off for 3 1/2 months when Coen was only a couple months old and only found one that pays $10/hr!!! We've encountered problem after problem this year. MAJOR ones. So, I'm with you. But I do think it makes you stronger. There's lessons in it somewhere and you may not know what they are for years and years. Good luck!
One day you two will look back at these times and constantly be reminded how blessed you are. You both need to remember you have a family (on both sides) that will do anything for you, except change diapers.
:)
Hang in there!!!
This economy is taking its toll on everyone, I do pray that it gets better. It is especially hard on familys, everything is so expensive. You have a great attitude, and have a great husband and kids. I do hope things get better for you. I have been where you are, and it will get better.
As Grandma Osmond would say.. Make Lemonade...
Ihope it gets better.. it makes me mad when some people are just layabouts and out for the hand-outs and get it all!! and good hard working people like Geoff and so many others.. get ignored..
Keep your spirits up guys x
K, so I went to a meeting last night and a girl was talking about trials. She said sometimes Heavenly Father will calm the stormy seas, but sometimes he lets the storms rage and calms the person.
We know exactly what you're going through. We're even losing hope sometimes about getting a job once Jared is done. We've already applied for some, but have heard back from no one and we KNOW it CAN'T be because he's not qualified. So frustrating!!
I don't really have any encouraging words, except to never lose faith and hope. No matter how long it takes, I think Heavenly Father will always provide a way to have what we need, even if it's not making life comfortable.
Love you guys!! Hang in there!
