IS COMING TO AN END
These are some things I remember about 2008 that I want to remember:
Vacations:
Disneyworld, California to visit my family, Disneyland, Sea World, The Beach, Park City, Heber for family reunion
Going from a working mom to a stay at home mom. I was so excited for this time to come, now I wish I had my job back. I guess the grass is always greener, or maybe I need to be more creative with my time!
Starting the Dave Ramsey Budget Plan- this has been amazing in our lives, and somehow it seems like we are doing well, even with only one income now. Where did all the extra money used to go?
Selling Geoff's mini cooper and purchasing a Honda Accord. Now I can drive both of our cars. Before I could not drive the mini, because of my lack of manual driving skills!
Celebrating Birthdays- It was exciting to celebrate Geoff turning 30 and Paityn turning 1. Both substantial years in their lives. Mine, was fun too, but I only turned 26!
Finding out were having a baby. I have to admit this was not so exciting at first, although I am getting used to the idea, and know I will be excited when little boy Osmond gets here!
Celebrating 3 years of marriage with my wonderful husband. Through thick and thin, he sticks by my side, despite my imperfections. I think he is pretty amazing for that and I love him!
Getting a sewing machine for Christmas. Just what I need, now I can try to be creative with my time, and maybe make the baby a blanket or something!
Attending many University of Utah Football games, and watching them win, especially against BYU. I wish them luck in the Sugar Bowl on Friday!
I really cannot believe this year has come and gone so quickly. I remember last New Years Eve, celebrating with our friends Brandon and Kim, and making resolutions. Ha, I don't think those even stuck for a month, isn't that always the case? I think this year I will just go with the flow, and let others make resolutions. Ok, I will make a couple that I think I WILL follow through with:
Make a Baby Blanket
Have a Baby
Lose Weight (just not saying how much)
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL!

Joy, that was a wonderful blog to end the year! I think you had a great '08 and hope '09 will bring you even more happiness and prosperity. I think after you have the baby (our first grandson!), you will be asking yourself...when was it I thought I had time to be creative?!
Happy New Year!
Lots of Love,
Mom
Hope you and your family had a great Christmas. Happy New Year to you too.
I bet you can't believe how quick Paityn has grown in this last year too.
Don't forget, you may not be working outside the home now, but you are still a hard working Mom. I may not have kids but I know stay at home Mom's work just as hard or even harder then Mom's who work outside the home.
Nancy
You couldn't drive his car just because it was a manual? It's EASY on flat land. I hated my manual VW when I was in UT because of the mountains. I ALWAYS had trouble on sloops.. I'd panic because of the roll-back it did before going forward due to how close some people would get with there cars. You know, like RIGHT up to your bumper. (I call them butt sniffers... thanks to seeing dogs check each other out that way.)
you sure have had a busy year, and a busier one coming up. These years will fly by, so enjoy every minute of it. I know you are!!!
