It's a.....baby

I am going on 15 weeks pregnant, and usually the doctor's office waits until about 20 weeks to do a gender determination ultrasound. Well, lucky for us, we didn't have to wait that long. Our great friends, the Andersons, so kindly told us that when we were ready to find out what we were having they would take us to Fetal Fotos, owned by K.C's parents. Tonight was that time, and we found out. So here it goes, with pictures to show you the results! So here it goes....its a................

Boy!!! and if you can't tell from this picture, then you are not very observant. His legs were wide open for all to see. We are so excited!!!

Now the time comes to decide on a name. I know we have like 6 more months, but I am not that patient.

P.S. If anyone wants a great place to find out the gender by ultrasound, or do the 3-d pictures, Fetal Foto was amazing. We went to Fetal Studios for Paityn, and this was by far much nicer, actually they don't even compare! They also do maternity massages, I might just have to try it out!

Congrats on it being a boy! I like the little hand. Those are really good ultra-sound pictures.

Yea!! Congrats, one of each! Now the pressure is off for the rest of your kids. Tell Geoff to please consider Kermit for a name, I think it's only fitting...=)

Yeah! Boys are so fun...although I do not know any different! Yep...those ultrasounds look like the five that I have had...legs open and showing the goods! Isn't Dr. Barton your doctor ? I think that I remember you saying something a while ago about him...He is also my Ob and I just love him! Let the boy shopping begin!

NO wonder you are so sick...maybe all the old wives tales are true then....mix of hormones....
A boy was my guess anyway.
Congrats on the news.
My birthday is March 13....pretty close to your due date.
And thank you for sharing the pictures, fascinating arent they.
I am excited for you and Geoff and also the grandparents.
Take care, and hope you start to feel better very soon.

I'm happy Paityn will have a little brother to play with and teach just like you did with Adam. I hope she will be as good a big sister as you were!

Wishing you a healthy baby boy...and less sickness,

Love,
Mom

Congratulations on a boy! You gotta love Fetal Foto.I am going to have two boys and I am very excited. They are so fun and if my second is anything like my first, he will be pretty mellow, a good sleeper, and just perfect (almost). Good luck. Oh yeah, I am from the ward but I don't think we have really officially met. Maybe when Paityn comes to nursery I will be her leader. Also, I went to school with Annie Osmond. I noticed you have her linked on your blog. How are you two related?

CONGRATS !!!YAY WHOOP WHOOP so happy for all 3 of you xxx

Joy said...

My reply to Pen,
Actually I was more sick with Paityn, if you can believe it! I don't think the hormone thing is true in my case, I just get sick with any pregnancy!

My reply to The Lunds,
I do know who you are through Kacey, but we have never officially met. We should! Annie is related to me by Geoff's cousin, her husband Scott, who is Alan's son, Geoff's Dads younger brother. So we are cousin-in-laws!

Congratulations! I have always said a mother knows what she is carrying. I "knew" what each of my four was. Mother's intuition....a wonderful thing. Hope you start feeling better soon and can enjoy your pregnancy.

Joy, thanks so much for sharing those fetal fotos - isn't it amazing how much you can see so early - the little hands, etc..

That's great you can also find out it's a boy. How exciting.

Reply to Dixie:
I felt that it wasn't your place to answer a question someone asked ME on MY blog. Therefore, since it is MY blog, I have the right to block whatever comments I would like. I took the comment moderator off for only a few hours, and this is what I get. A crazy lady like you getting so upset that I didn't want you to comment on MY blog! Don't read if you have a problem with me!
To all my readers:
sorry I have to do this, and I really am trying hard not to go private, but seriously, some Osmond Fans are nuts, so I WILL be moderating ALL comments before they post!

Natalie said...

Joy...I really think that the private thing is going to be best for you...as it seems that people are coming out of the woodworks to be psycho on your blog! I just have never seen this anywhere else...and it is to bad that because of your last name people are being rude to you! I think the fans are great when they are there to support, but when they attack and critisize you for your blog content...they really need to get another hobby and get a life! Good luck with it!

Pen said...

Joy, This is totally understandable. I dont know what gets in to some people. So very rude (Am I being too English??).
Keep moderating rather than going private if you can, but neither should be necessary. Pretend you're me, almost no one comments on my blog...Ha!! I have the opposite problem.
We all understand I am sure.

Re the hormones, I didnt like to say that I was equally sick with all of mine. I carried them all the same and of course they werent all the same sex...be a bit odd with 3 of them..LOL
I think it depends on you and your hormones more than anything and I dont think mine like me much.
But I was being honest when I said it did ease after a while.
I hope it does for you.
I cant wait to hear what name you choose. Boys are such fun.
Take care.

Congrats!!! It was the same for us, Scott had his legs wide open and my Dr. was like is it diffently a boy. Boys are an adventure but are very caring towards their moms. Geoff will have a fun time with him.

I'm so sorry to hear you have to deal with rude/crazy comments. It's a shame people can't be respectful, I feel we are the guests reading your blog and need to remember you are being very kind and nice keeping your blog public. Also having to deal with this while not feeling well and your busy schedule.

I'm very appreciative that you still have your blog open to the public, it's very kind of you.

At least you have an option to moderate your comments

Jan C said...

I do not blame you for moderating, it is what they have forced you to do. It is better than you going private, because I do enjoy commenting on some blogs.
I hope the comments get better for you.

Janet said...

Congratulations! I am so pleased for you both.
I too am an Osmond fan and don't believe I fall into the nuts variety, but I agree with you, there are a whole lot of them out there. It's a shame as they give us normal ones a bad name.
I love your blog. Paityn is the same age as one of my grandaughters so it's real neat to see how she is doing some of the same things as my grandaughter. I'm also a Labor and Delivery nurse, so love the whole pregnancy thing too.
Take care, have a wonderful pregnancy and hope the sickness thing resolves soon.

Joy - awesome hand shot! One of my favorite u/s photo's showed my son's foot. I wanted a hand one, but never got it. One time though I felt his hand as I had my hand just in the right spot.

best wishes always. (and there's trolls everywhere. I'm sorry you've run into them.)

Nobody has a right to take away from your happy moments, Joy. And, it's not just Osmond fans... some people in general are just nuts. It's why I have a real hesitation against posting many personal pictures, and why I will NOT post any of my children. You just never know who's out there, looking... you know (Natalie and I have spoken about this before).

Anyway, I want to sincerely congratulate you! It's so nice to have one of "each"! :) I sure do hope your sickness subsides soon, so you can begin to really relax and fully enjoy your pregnancy (I was only sick with my son, 'cause the boy hormones did NOT agree with me at all, but it went away right at the beginning of the second trimester, so I was really lucky!).

Not a great time for me to be seeing ultrasound pictures, though... I'm getting the "itch" again (I told my husband that last night, and he said I'd better find someone else to have a baby with then! Ha!).

I wish you lots of luck and love for the remainder of your pregnancy! :)

Yay Yay Yay!!! I am SO excited you're having a little boy! Connor, James, Cole, and your little guy will have so much fun doing all sorts of little boy things as they grow up together (well, once we finally get back to Utah anyway...). Congrats!

Hi Joy,
I enjoy reading your blog although I'm a bit embarrassed to comment as I don't know you. Anyway congratulations to you both on your pregnancy with your little boy. Thanks for keeping your blog public although it must be difficult at times. My daughter is expecting her first baby(our first grandchild)on March 9th. She has been very tired but fortunately had only mild nausea and is feeling more lively this week. I hope you start to feel better soon.
