This past weekend was a lot of fun because my parents came up for a visit. At first it was just going to be my mom, because she had a memorial service to attend, but when her friend who was going to drive up with her canceled, my dad decided to join in on the vacation. They arrived Thursday afternoon and hung out with Paityn and I until Geoff got off work. Then we headed to dinner at Lonestar Steakhouse (my old stompin' grounds). Friday, my parents took Paityn and I to the Zoo. This was Paityn's first time at the Hogle Zoo, and aside from the sunscreen I got in her eyes, I think she had a pretty good time. The weather was great, and the animals were lively. After a few hours of the zoo (its a small zoo), we had to get a treat, and we decided on my favorite, Nielson's Frozen Custard. I don't think I have had one since I was pregnant so this really was a treat! Friday night we ordered pizza, rented a movie, and enjoyed the evening. Saturday was the memorial service, and then my parents went to Heber, so we did our own thing, which included Geoff working on the basement, and a birthday party. That night, my parents stayed in with Paityn and Geoff and I went on a few errands. Not the most exciting, but it was nice to get out alone. We had Chick-Fil-a for dinner (not that you care), but it just opened up near us and we love it!
Sunday was church day, followed by a bbq at our house. We invited Lyn and Jerry over to join in on the food and fun, and we had delicious juicy burgers, courtesy of our Chef, Geoffrey.
What a great weekend it was, mostly just my parents having fun spending time with Paityn and seeing all the things she loves to do. They were amazed what a great baby she is, and I guess we are lucky for that. However, we don't know any better, and I hope we never do!
Thanks mom and dad for everything, we had fun, we love you, and hope to see you soon!

Thats so nice that you had such a great week-end with your family.
I hardly have any family left these days so it always warms me to see families getting together. I bet they loved spending so much time with Paityn.
that's nice your parents live close enough they can drive to visit. Sounds like a fun weekend. Always fun to visit family.
Great photos of your daughter, she is starting to look like a little girl rather, then a little baby - adorable.
It's nice visiting with family, I just visited with my cousin's 3 month old daughter over Memorial day weekend which was fun.
Hope your daughter enjoyed the animals at the zoo.

It is nice that your parents could come for a visit. I just had my grandkis for two days, and they just cheer me up and make me feel great.
