Well, it seems that I must be the only one that is not paranoid enough to make my blog private. At least yet!! What is it that people think is going to happen? Our addresses, and phone numbers aren't being given out on this thing!! I don't get it. Can't people just be a little more trusting? I guess that is just my philosophy.
The Writer
I enjoy writing, and keeping up to date on the lives of my little kidlets. I am looking for a full-time job but I just don't know what route to take. I am learning to enjoy alone time, but I really miss when Paityn and Beck aren't with me. I have amazing friends, and wonderful family who I could not live without. I still enjoy photography but it has kind of taken a back seat lately. I also have been enjoying my cardio fitness boot camp. It kicks my butt and I'm lovin' it!!

She's 4! She is beginning to be much more obedient, and she is just so loveable. She always wants to cuddle. Much different than when she was a baby. She loves her friends, Hello Kitty, Dora, and Strawberry Shortcake. She loves to sing and loves to learn, and she is really enjoying her first year of preschool with Mrs. Luci
Beck Malan
2 years old and talking up a storm. He still loves BALLS. If he is not holding a ball, throwing a ball, kicking a ball, or bouncing a ball, he probably isn't going to be very happy! He has also started a new hobby of tormenting his big sister and her friends, it kinda makes me laugh but it's really not nice!

Our little pup! Is lonely, and bored most of the time. He puts up with his "siblings", but doesn't enjoy being too close to them. He LOVES to be outside whenever he gets the chance, and still can do tricks, if he gets a treat!

Joy-I'm with you. I only have one friend who has set their blog to private and I tend to skip reading their blog because I find it kind of a pain to log in. I am pretty careful though not to have my last name or location anywhere on my blog. Maybe you should consider taking your last name off since it is such a famous last name and those crazy Osmond fans are more likely to find your blog than mine. By the way I keep meaning to ask you if Geoff has told you the Kermie story yet-it's a great one ask him about it. Too bad we don't live closer to one another, I can definetly see the two of us hanging out-keep the blog public!
I am with you. I may be naive but it won't be happening any time soon to mine! Although, I was bored and did a google for my name and the only one that came up that was really me was on your blog, from some comments from me. So that means your blog is google searchable, not sure if you want it that way, but you can change it.

I am assuming this post is related to my recent private blog post!? Come on I live in LA. 3 drive by shooting happened within 1 mile of our house last week. And we are supposed to be in a safe community. I know longer feel safe! Kind of odd! All inicent people by the way! I trusted people when I lived in good old Utah but that changed moving here! Plus there are certain people that I do not want looking at my blog. But if you want in I can invite you! I think it's lame to have private blogs too. But my kiddies mean too much too me. I think it is crazy people who post pics of their house and location... but to each is own! Really the whole reason for having a blog was to keep in touch with family and friends. All in which can see my blog! Sorry to make you log in! And maybe I will lose viewers. but at least I am not gaining unwanted ones!! HAHA! I know I am a lame blogger!
I agree and I wish that more people felt that way. I think it is fun to get a comment out of the blue from someone that you knew at one point that came across you blog! I don't know what the bog deal is either. I don't have our last name on our blog or where we are, but I am sure some that is smart could figure it out. My mom is the paranoid one...
I'm one of those people you don't know personally, and I personally don't know you but I enjoy reading your blog. I know you may think that is strange. I stumbled across your blog by googling your husband's family name and of course your last name.
Although I have enjoyed reading your blogs and your family member's blogs - you don't know me, and even though I know I am very honest, respectful and trustworthy you wouldn't know that. I'm concerned with my own personal privacy out on the internet and how much information is too much and I wondered the same about your blog and info.
I guess it's up to you, although I wonder if it's a good thing to make your blog private to just your family and friends. Unfortunately there are alot of nuts out there and I would hate to see that a nut takes advantage of your blog and pictures.
I also do apologize to you and your friends and family members- I don't blog and didn't realize there is a site meter that you can tell who gets on your blog and from where, etc... and I hope I didn't worry you or increase your concern for you or your family members of someone from a location you don't know anyone from getting on your blog(s).
I know I'm not the only one you don't know who probably reads this but I do want to apologize if I did increase any concern or worry.
I grew up as a quiet fan of your husband's family and have always admired the values, beliefs, and closeness his family seems to have. It's been fun to see the news about his family as I remember seeing them as children on their Uncle and Aunt's tv show and reading about his family back then. As I mentioned I've always been a quiet fan of his family - never posted or gone to any concerts or shows, etc. but I know not everyone is like me, although I hope they would be as quiet and respectful and honest.
Anyway whatever you decide I know will be right for you and your family and good luck in the future.
As I mentioned although I enjoy reading your blog and your family members blogs, I know your concerns for your privacy and your family's privacy is more important.
It's a shame that we all have to worry about the few nuts that are out there in the world, when I was growing up my parents could send me and my siblings out in the yard to play alone
I wish there was a way to send you a private message so I could give you my full name, email, etc.. and be open with you - but with the whole world seeing this I don't want to give away too much.

Wow Joy I didn't know you had so many admirers...maybe they figured out your new blog by just typing your name in, they do seem to know your family now...here's one more suggestion(you're probably sick of hearing mine) pick something that is not so obvious. Like maybe a little phrase you and Geoff sya to each other or something else that people probably won't stumble across. There's my 2 cents take it how you will, I'm glad you're address is back on my radar though!

I totally agree with you! I was going to make mine private, but thought that was a little too paranoid. So I got site meter. I found that people googled your name to get to my blog, and then found the link and went to your blog so I changed your link to your first names minus the famous last name. All my traffic was coming from Osmond fans! So in the mean time I have no friends, and you have unwanted ones!

It's not being parinoid by the way! It called being smart, whatever you decide to do. For one don't put pictures of your house, and personal info. I think that is a given. The site meter is not that much help. If someone isn't a member of blogger or they aren't signed in then all it tells you is the location. What help is that. You don't know who it is. Plus if someone comes from someone elses blog then it show up as that blog viewing your blog. I don't think it's a huge deal if your smart. I am not going private because I am worried. I just only want my friends and family to see what my family is doing. I don't think you have problems with fans. I think Donny and Marie's fans just like to see what the family is up to. Haven't you ever read someone elses blog you don't know? I don't think you need to worry. You do make me laugh. I think you might be parinoid! HAHA!!!!
