The day started off nicely, with Geoff out doing some last minute shopping, and Paityn and I cleaning up around the house. Early afternoon we got a phone call that Grandma Heslop went into the hospital for unknown reasons. Geoff and his brother Matt went to visit, while I finished up getting ready for Christmas Day. All turned out well with Grandma, but she had to stay in the hospital through Christmas for some tests to see if everything was ok. They thought she had a stroke, but all came back negative...so for now she is back to normal!
Late afternoon snow was getting really bad, and Geoff, Matt and Anmaree were on there way to our house so we could go to dinner. We decided take out would be a better option than taking Paityn out in the horrible snow storm. Thai was the cuisine of choice, and of course Yellow Curry was again our favorite. If you have not tried it, you are missing out! After dinner, we made a doggy gingerbread house, we opened our jammies, played a few games and went to bed around midnight (of course, Paityn went down around 8) We couldn't wait to see what Santa had brought us.

Christmas morning began around 8 am, with Paityn waking up. Santa brought her a rocking horse(it makes sounds, and moves its tail and head), and a bumbo seat (i know, i know, they were recalled...oh well, we will be safe). After we were all awake, presents began to be opened. I think everyone got pretty spoiled this year. Paityn, got toys, toys and more toys.
Geoff got tools, a golf bag and Ute stuff. Joy got a very expensive diaper bag (hey, when your'e a mom, purses won't do, so I have to ask for trendy diaper bags!), some very sexy heels, clothes, gift cards, an awesome skin care system, and many more fun things. Matt scored with RockBand for Playstation 3, (like guitar hero, but with other instruments as well), gift cards, and zingers (if you don't know what those are, well...neither do we!) Anmaree was spoiled by Matt. She got the same skin care kit as me, a nice sweater jacket, gift cards, and her favorite, a Metallica Shirt.

After presents, we went over to Geoff's moms house for breakfast with the family. Ben, Annice and Baby Nicholas were there, and we had fun spending time with them. Granny got Paityn a few cute things, including a build-a-bear with some outfits, and books....yeah!!!
Back to our house we went to clean up, relax, and watch Christmas Vacation after breakfast. we were going to visit the Heslop Grandparents later in the day, but by the time we were off, everyone was leaving...bummer!

Our night ended playing games with Brandon and Kim, (some of our best friends).
What a fun filled Christmas we had...and we even had more excitement to come because my parents came up the next day.
They always spoil us rotten. I think Paityn got the best end of the deal, but we still got some good loot. Grandma and Grandpa got her books, a light and sound projector, a car seat bundle me cover, winnie the pooh ornament and much more. Oh yeah, and Grandpa got Paityn her very first baseball mit. it is so adorable...pink and purple, and it even lights up! I got the uggs I wanted, a beautiful framed picture of Christ, my camera and nativity creche. Geoff got an espn ornament, a saw, and the official NCAA leather football that he wanted.
Yes, I am telling you all about the presents, but spending time with our family has been the best part of this holiday season, and for that reason I am very sad that it is ending. Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas, and keeps in mind that the true meaning of Christmas is to remember the importance of Christ in our lives and what he did for us!
