Thanksgiving Vacation

So, I feel really behind on blogging, but I have an excuse...we are on vacation. Still, I could not help myself but to blog for a moment. I just can't get enough of this blogging thing! We arrived here to my parents home in southern cali on tuesday evening after an 11 hour drive, usually only takes about 9, but with a newborn and a puppy the stops are frequent. Anyway, we have enjoyed our time here so far, yesterday was spent preparing food, eating food and enjoying good company, while today was spent shopping. Yes, I did it...again! No one joined me that early, but I woke up at 4 am, fed baby, then headed off to target, and babys r us for a few things. I think I got some pretty good deals, and I didn't have to wait in any long lines...well, I did wait for 45 minutes outside of target before it opened, but to purchase my items, I had no line at all!!! I attempted toys r us after target but the line to pay was over 3 hours long...who would wait that long for a toy?!!! So, I am a lover of black friday, and I know, either you LOVE it or you HATE it! My dad and Geoff decided they needed to do a little shopping as well, but not quite as early. I met them at Best Buy at 8 am, and Geoff bought a memory card for the camera, while my dad bought a few things including a new camera for me, his favorite daughter (ok, his only daughter)! I guess Paityn slept until about 8, and then Grandma Mickie (my mom) took care of her for the remainder of the morning before I came back home, and we headed out to breakfast.
Today was a fun day, shopping, napping, shopping some more and visiting with our cousins in Redlands. We went to dinner at a Thai Restaurant with them and we loved it. It is so nice to come back HOME and visit with my family. I am glad we get to do this once in a while. I love my family.
I will blog more about this trip at a later time, for now I need to get to sleep, I have another long day ahead of me, which includes a baby shower/getting to meet Paityn party, yeah!!!
