Picking our Pumpkins

This is definately one thing I love about living in Utah...going to the pumpkin patch. As a child we went to these parking lots that had a designated area gated in with pumpkins that you could purchase (that was southern california), and then I moved to Utah! Not quite the same feeling when going to get your pumpkins. There are actual pumpkin farms where you get to go, take a wheelbarrel and giant plant clippers and cut your own pumpkin right off the vine, fresh as they come! Such a better experience to start off the fall season, and I love it.Well, this year was the best yet. Last year we took Milo to pick out pumpkins, and he was the hit of the party...he was about 2 months old at the time. This year we not only got to take Milo again, but Paityn had the chance to pick out her very own pumpkin and be an even bigger hit. We had so much fun taking pictures of her...though the sun was not cooperative, creating shadows and such, so we only got a few good ones..but they are still adorable.

In the end, we picked out 4 pumpkins...the biggest is Geoff's, the wrinkly one is mine (it gives it some character), tiny orange is Paityn's, and the off-white tiny pumpkin happens to be for Milo. They are now sitting on a bale of hay on our front porch, and we now look ready for the upcoming holiday. Geoff was against the hay bale, but I think it adds a nice touch to the decor!!
