Yesterday, which was Labor Day, Geoff and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary! We have had a lot of bumps along the way but we made it through another year and I am very blessed to be married to such a wonderful man, who is not only a great friend, and husband, but is showing the great qualities he has of being a father. It was fun to be able to spend our anniversary with our little baby Paityn. She is an amazing addition to our family and has brought Geoff and I even closer.
We spent the day, well first...going to the hospital to get her blood taken to check her jaundice levels. They have dropped from the first day of 17.9, then to 18.1, then to 14 last friday, and today to a 12.4!!! What does that mean to most of you...well that means, she is off the hook and her jaundice is no more of a concern...yeah!!! After the hospital we drove up to visit Paityn's Great Grandparents. Grandma and Grandpa Heslop. We enjoyed a nice visit with them, and Grandpa enjoyed snapping lots of photos of the new baby. After leaving their home, we went to lunch at P.F. Chang's downtown, exchanged cards, first accidentally opening up eachother's cards...how that happened I don't know...they both clearly said our names on the envelopes!!! Lunch was yummy and filling, but we still had some room left for my favorite...Nielson's frozen custard. We both ordered a concrete, my favorite; chocolate with cookie dough (they were out of chocolate custard, so they did vanilla with hot fudge mixed in...not quite as good), and Geoff's favorite; raspberry in vanilla custard. I only got half way through mine so now I have some left over in the freezer!! We got home about 2, relaxed for a few hours and then packed up the whole family; that includes Milo, and we headed over to the Oquirrh Lake in Daybreak for a nice walk, and a few pictures.
That was about it for the day...what a fun celebration of our 2nd anniversary!!!
